Annual Merit Award Requirements and Flu Vaccine Compliance for Your Employees

Please review the following critical deadlines for your employees to meet compliance requirements.

Annual Merit Award Requirements

Employees who did not complete Annual Education and TB requirements before the Merit impact deadline may complete these requirements during the makeup period by January 31, 2026, to receive Merit. If completed by the deadline, the effective date of Merit would be February 9, 2026, and show in the paycheck on February 13, 2026. Please note, Merit awarded during the makeup period will not be applied retroactively.

  • For Annual Education, your employees can access myNorthsideLearning via myNorthsideHR > Tools & Resources > myNorthsideLearning to review and complete their Learning Plan.
  • For TB compliance, please direct your employees to complete the questionnaire by visiting myNorthsideHR >Tools & Resources > Employee Health.

If an employee is on a Continuous Leave, their performance evaluation should be completed after they return to work. They will be allotted time to become compliant with TB and/or Annual Education and receive merit effective the date they return to work. Please also note that if a performance evaluation is completed for an employee who is on a Leave and they are compliant with TB and Annual Education, they will receive a merit, if eligible.

The Annual TB and respiratory fit testing for 2026 will be available on January 2, 2026.

Flu Vaccination Compliance

Some employees are non-compliant with Northside’s flu vaccination requirement, which is due by December 31, 2025. Ensuring compliance is critical to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all.

Please review the list of non-compliant employees by navigating to myNorthsideHR >Tools & Resources > Supervisor Pulse. The flu non-compliant list is located under Important Links.

To achieve compliance, employees can either complete a flu vaccination declination form or schedule an appointment with Employee Health for a flu shot. Both can be accessed on the Employee Health page.

We encourage you to follow up with your non-compliant employees and remind them of the importance of meeting the compliance requirement promptly.
