Future Project: Electronic HR Documents Management

As part of our ongoing commitment to operational efficiency and modernizing how we work, Northside will be transitioning away from paper-based competency records and other HR-related documentation. This is a meaningful shift in how we will manage and store critical employee records — and we want to make sure you are prepared and set up for success well before the change takes effect.

What Will Change

Going forward, competencies will be completed digitally through HealthStream, eliminating the need for paper records stored in department files or on the units. All related documentation will be stored securely and digitally through OneDrive, moving us away from physical department files entirely.

We recommend familiarizing yourself with OneDrive now and begin saving files digitally as a practice going forward. You can find OneDrive job aids at myNorthsideNET > Information Sources > General > Microsoft Resources to help you get started.

Why This Matters

Moving to digital documentation reduces compliance risk, ensures records are accessible and secure, and positions Northside for the future of work. Paper files stored on units create inconsistency and vulnerability — digital storage addresses both.

More details, including resources and the official transition deadline, will be shared as we get closer.
